A great post! You are right, there are long tern effects that parents don't notice right away but if they look closer, they will also so ill effects in the present as they slowly lose the heart of their child.

A brilliant post! I have been homeschooling my children for 6 years now, but I had put the older two in preschool, and the oldest was even in public school for a few years.

The rage in my 3 year old son was palpable during that time. He is now 11 a great companion. My oldest, a daughter is 14, and we have a much better relationship than could ever have been possible had we kept her in school.

Stay firm in your convictions! In due season, you shall reap if you faint not.

all i can say is a great big thank you for that post!... I'm not a big computer person and this is actually the first thing I've posted :)but I'm a mom of an almost 2 yr old and a 3 1/2 yr old. Like you said sometimes you almost find yourself feeling jealous of those 'free' moms...well I've been having one of those days for about 2 weeks now and just stumbled across this site. Thanks for reminding me of what really counts. I knew it in my heart but reading it and reading the other comments just brought tears to my eyes... My kids will be teens in no time and probably (hopefully) won't long to be snuggled with every night when bedtime rolls around :) thanks angie for the reminder to stay firm in my convictions...I won't faint!

I haven't posted in a while.
I know the feeling.
Only one person has asked resently what kindergarden my dd was going to. These next few months will be weird trying to answer in broken German why she is not in KG. But at least I can feel confident I am doing the right thing.
